You need to write your own research question based on an investigation of producers or processes of media production and then answer your question using a theory and method from the IMRP Subject Outline.

You must choose a topic that is focused on the role of producers or processes of media production. If you’re interested in analysing Facebook then perhaps you’re interested in exploring Jenkins’ theory of ‘participatory culture’ (see the Flew reading in Week 2) and the way in which the user is now the producer and in that sense you may wish to do a virtual ethnography of a selection of Facebook users? Remember you must select for your final project a theory and/or method we have talked about in lectures and tutorials this semester.
