25 Jul Success Levels for Change
In Chapter one of Managing Organizational Change the authors present three change stories:
- The Beth Israel Story
- The Sears Holding Story
- The J. C. Penney Story
This discussion board forum is an opportunity for each student to analyze the three leaders and their success, or lack of success. That was achieved in the three cases. [Review the white paper located in the additional material section for assistance in how to analyze a case.] Make sure to cover:
- The text authors provide their analysis; do you agree? Disagree? Why or why not?
- How would you describe the leadership style of each based on the Chapter 1, 2, & 12 readings?
- What was the approach to making the changes in each of the three stories? Was it effective?
- What steps might the leader have taken that could have improved the outcome in each story?
Complete the initial post for the threaded discussion. Make sure to title your post with the main topic or theme. Each post must be original thoughts about the topic and contain at least three outside sources from peer reviewed journals. The post should be 1500-1800 words in length. The post should be written using APA. Posts are due by Sunday at 11:59 p.m. (ET) of Module/Week 1.
