Comparing divine command theory and moral relativism
Evaluate divine command theory and moral relativism in light of their ability to address the aims of moral theory. You should begin by first presenting what Timmons calls the practical aim and the theoretical aim, and move on to give an account of each theory. Once youve explained each theorys account of moral rightness (and wrongness), you should then explain which theory, if any, is most successful at achieving these aims. You may appeal to Timmonss criteria for evaluating moral theories, but you may also want to develop your own view if it is not explicitly stated in textbook (Moral Theory: An Introduction, Second Edition (2012) by Mark Timmons). Your paper must be typed and doublespaced, using a 12point font and 1inch margins. Your paper must be stapled (please avoid any unnecessary folders or duotangs). Also include a bibliography, which should include at most two entries. Cite accordingly. If you dont know how to cite, please consult a reference guide.
